A REMEDY FOR AN EMPTY WALLET

Oh my heck. December sure did do a number on our bank account. I want to CRY!
Not only Christmas- but jeff slipped on ice while driving and now our car is totally messed up.
oh and our lovely insurance isn't paying a dime.
YAY.
And after all that- now there is tuition and BOOKS and all the beginning of semester costs.
Another expense that i really hate. LOATHE, actually.
Paying an insane amount of money for a book you use like twice? no thank you.
I know that most of you are nodding your heads knowingly.
Luckily, i have found some ways to save some dollars on those dreaded books.
I've always avoided renting books. It is usually such a pain!
But with Campus Book Rentals, it is literally painLESS.
I rented a book from them last semester.
It was like $150 dollar book and i got it for like $30.
And shipping it back was SO EASY!
(The average savings is 40%-90%- UNREAL)
Return shipping is free and the book comes with a pouch for you to mail the book in.
All you have to do is drop it off at the mailbox and they take care of everything else.
I Saved so much MONEY using them last semester....

OKAY that's not even the best part.
If you have textbooks that you can't sell back to the bookstore, you can use their rent back program.
This program allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students.
So you can make money off of your book?
YES!! 2-4 times more money than you would make by just selling back your book.
Is this real life?

I'm not usually the one to give shout outs to programs like this but I just figured it would be rude of me not to let you know how to save money on textbooks AND make money off of your textbooks!

IT IS A(late) CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!

Now you all can earn back some of the money you spent in december by renting out the bookstore reject books. Who is with me?

Anyways, if you are interested in how exactly it works, you can watch this video and this video for more info.

now we have enough money to feed our baby. see?

HA ;)
(also can we just talk about how this is the cutest picture ever taken)

  2. I'm soooo grateful for campus book rentals. I literally saved like $275 just this semester by using them. Also, Christmas definitely wiped us out, too. I don't know when we're going to be able to recover. haha
