it's a.......

seriously these look weird and not even good....
but they are still my VERY first ultrasound pictures!

front view of the face! oval head shape? i think so!

back view of the body. good looking' spine there baby!

so  i had all my provo best friends together for a little reveal.

team blue:

team pink:

i made 11 cupcakes.
there was either a red or a green sour patch kid in each cupcake
{get it..."kid"? I'm clever :)}
red for girl, green for boy.
so they had to eat all the cupcakes to figure out the gender...
once there was 6 of one color, they knew what gender it was!

aaaaaand its a....

i put the ring pops in this box, and that was the prize that the winners got :)

 and the drinks are....PINK!

becca was trying to look pregnant,
quite convincing, i must say!

everyone wishes they were pregnant like me....

so. there was my little gender reveal party.
but can you believe it?!
i am seriously so surprised.
SHOCKED, that would be a better word.
i reallllly thought it was a boy,
now, my baby is currently breech
so they did say that they couldn't be 100% sure of its sex
but they are 90% sure its a girl.
and i was a witness, i saw the gap between the legs and trust me-
there was NOTHING there.

even better news is that my baby looked completely healthy!
honestly, that's all i really cared about,
and now i can finally breathe and relax about it.
such a blessing!
it made me so sad because the parents who were in right before us
went to get an ultrasound and their baby was non- viable.
man, my heart broke for them.
and it made me so much more grateful for a healthy baby.
i could never ask for anything more.

im so excited to meet my baby GIRL! :)
20 more weeks....

by the way, i have found my new biggest weakness...
i put it next to jeff's shoe on purpose to show how cute and tiny it is!

 i was grocery shopping
and well, i just couldn't resist...

**cupcake recipe**
disregard the ingredients on the back of the box, and use these instead
box of devil's food cake mix
1 C milk
3 eggs
1/3 C softened unsalted butter
1 package of pudding mix
and 1 C of heath bar chips

^^thats how your spruce up a boxed cake mix!

tip to make them fluffy: cook at 375, and after 15 minutes lower temp to 350,
then cook for 10 more minutes.
for the pink ones, i topped with a raspberry
and for the other ones, sprinkle heath bar on top!

buttercream frosting:
4 C powdered sugar
3 T whipping cream
1 C butter
for the pink frosting, i added raspberries to make it fruity and colorful

people told me they tasted like cocoa bean cupcakes- major compliment!

    1. thanks! i totally thought it was a boy- but i kinda wanted a girl. i think girls are great to have first because they can help you more with the other children- usually they are just more responsible and stuff. but ya know, not every time so who really knows. I'm just way excited :) also, i added the recipe at the bottom just for you! they were easy and way yummy!
