thought id do a little pregnancy update.
first of all, I'm HUGE, as you can obviously see.
i think i've officially popped.
although when i wear a t-shirt or something that isn't tight people still say
"you don't even look pregnant"
...ok great.
so this is me at
21 {and a half} weeks
+ movement- i feel my baby kick often, and it is my favorite thing in the world.
i can be studying or doing something lame, and i'll feel a little kick-
and I'm instantly happy :)
she refuses to kick, however, if jeff puts his hand on my belly in an effort to feel...
+ cravings- well i thought i was done having cravings, but holy cow all i ever think about is chocolate cake or chocolate chip cookies. basically any dessert. that is seriously all i want to eat.
+ symptoms- well I'm mostly over being sick. or so i thought. i stopped taking unisom and the next 3 days i was totally sick, just like the good old days. needless to say i am STILL taking medicine every night and still get sick occasionally- just not all day everyday like it used to be. my back and ribs hurt, but it's not too horrible. i've also had some braxton hicks contractions!
oh and I'm always hungry. mostly for cake. going on pinterest and looking up desserts only worsens the craving, so I'm not really sure why i keep doing it...so tantalizing!
+ baby- my baby is about 10 1/2 inches long now. she can hear me now! basically fully developed- all she needs is some fattening. I'm sure her mother's cravings will be greatly accommodating in that area...
+ awesome people- the people who already love my baby- she is spoiled already! :) my grandma is already getting started on a pink minky blanket, my mother in law is making a quilt, my little sister went on a baby girl clothes shopping spree, and my aunt cheree just informed us she was going to buy us a new carseat! i am so grateful to all the wonderful people who already love my baby and are SO generous.
+ i really love being pregnant. everything about it. so so much. I'm grateful to have this time to let my love for my daughter grow and try to prepare in every way i can to raise her right.
oh and on a completely random note-
i really miss my brother!
Your bump is the cutest! I still haven't popped yet. And I too thought my sickness was getting better but today reassured me that I'm not quite there. Here's hoping for next week :) haha
ReplyDeleteyep I'm definitely better than i was but my little sickness will sneak up on me just when i think I've gotten rid of it.
DeleteOh my goodness, so exciting, I love this update!

Chocolate. I Crave that when I'm not pregnant. Oops. Also, you ARE SO NOT HUGE. You look so so so cute as a pregnant lady.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! Such cute baby bump!! I hate it when people tell you you don't look pregnant when you feel like a huge whale, I always think, well what did they think I looked like before??? Congrats! Fun we are so close in weeks!

Whitney
i know seriously I'm like...why did i even bother trying to look skinny before if a huge bulge in my stomach makes no difference to a majority of people? hahaha. i know, i love it that we are so close together! i wonder who will have their baby first! :)

You have SUCH an adorable baby bump! I can't wait to have that someday. I have always imagined myself as a pregnant woman, and even as a little girl, claimed that "I will be one of the most adorable, radiant pregnant women there will ever be." :) I'm sure I'd be offended if someone told me I didn't look pregnant, especially after it'd been awhile. I hope you get to feeling way better, and I am glad that people are already spoiling your baby. Since I have decided from such a young age that I would love pregnancy so much, I am starting to get more and more nervous the closer I get to it (like...ummm...the fact that I have met "the one" even if he won't be proposing for a couple more years or so) that I might end up hating it. Or being sick all the time. I guess that's what I get for planning ahead wayyyy too far in advance. Hehe.

That's Just Lovely...
aw thanks so much! yeah, its partially my fault for wearing baggy clothing sometimes (cuz thats all that fits), and pictures always make my bump look bigger than it does in real life. I'm in the stage where people may think I'm pregnant but it isn' obvious enough to say "when are you due?" haha. well, i was naive about pregnancy and i will be honest- it was rough at first. but now it is the most amazing thing ever. and even if you do get sick, you still feel happy still because you know how truly blessed you are to have a healthy baby inside of you, and already your motherhood instincts are more than happy to sacrifice for your child. don't worry about it- pregnancy is one of the most amazing things you will ever experience! (this is coming from someone who was totally sick for almost 20 weeks, which is much more than the normal pregnant woman) i highly recommend it :)
DeleteThis is so sweet, congrats on the bundle of joy!! xo. PS found you through blog hop.

I love ready pregnancy posts. I have no idea what to expect when the time eventually comes but I'm slowly become informed. And it seems craving are only ever bad foods, why can't they be healthy like carrots or celery? LOL
ReplyDeletei didn't know what to expect either. my advice is to not have any expectations and to just take it as you go and enjoy it! its such a miracle. and my first 2 months of pregnancy all i wanted was fruit. sadly that craving is not longer in place...but it CAN happen! :) haha
DeleteHow wonderful to have home made gifts for your baby. I loved that I had knitted booties and jumpers, all made with loads of love.
ReplyDeleteOh my heck. You are the most adorable pregnant woman, obviously. Seriously, so cute!
