THE LAST DAYS

it is crunch time in the life of jeffrey and i.
and we can feel it.
because of this, we've been dating like there is no tomorrow.
date night every night?
YOU BET.
we've had so much fun together lately.
some of the happiest times of my life.

even when we just sit on the couch and watch a movie together....and take funny pictures.
and wear orange.

contraction inducing hiking. gotta love it.

sunday walks to the temple.

blowing bubbles and roadtrippin. (oh, and i win- obviously)
my mom bought jeff that bubble gum when he was giving me the pouty face and my mother was the one who could not resist...i don't blame her. i give in daily as well.
out to eat.
watch out for macaroni grill.
they come up to you and sing opera right in your face.
and you just kinda sit there, wondering what you should do.

family picnic at big springs.
one of jeff and i's new favorite places.
please note the adorable newly engaged couple!
tomaura (tom+laura)

late night treat runs. fatties i know- but these are the LAST days!...ha
oh and popcorn leftover from the dollar movies...
we loved Safe Haven.
one of us loved Snitch.
it wasn't me.
my babe is being born into a beautiful, flower-y world.

my mom also came down, and we went to women's conference.
it was wonderful.

girl time + husband time.
i wouldn't be spending my last days (not being a mom) any other way :)
let me clarify, I'm beyond excited to be a mom, but am also trying to take advantage of this complete freedom i have for only 3 more weeks.

okay so now here's where it gets serious, guys.
movies and books. anyone have some good suggestions?
or recipes or crafts? or just good, productive things that a prego like me can do?
PLEASE let me know.
because guess what. i've got some serious time to kill.
when I'm not on a date with my husband, he is at work. all day long.
and i have nothing to do.
well, i need things to do. HELP.
i've been keeping myself busy so far, but you can only pack your hospital bag so many times.
you can only make your husband a delicious dinner once a day.
and you can only call your husband and beg him to come home so many times a day...
before he starts to wonder if he even wants to come home at all.
let the suggestions begin...

and now? we wait.

  1. I love your story. I got married young too, and everyone told me I was nuts. I'm glad that I'm not the only one out there who has made it work. :-) We'll be celebrating three years of being married in a couple of weeks. Hooray!

Anyway, to cure your boredom: Have you read "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn? It will BLOW YOUR MIND. It was so good. It's a mystery/suspense novel. Or, for something lighter, how about anything by Sophie Kinsella? "Twenties Girl" is a favorite of mine, along with "The Undomestic Goddess" or "I've Got Your Number." All of those books are hilarious. I don't even know you, but I feel fairly certain I could say "You'll love them" because everyone does. :-)

Or, (shameless plug here), you could read a fantastic young adult novel about a cat who tries to take over the world. It's called "The Elsie Files," and it's by this super awesome person named Christine Webb (me, lol).

    Good luck!!

  2. look up some freezer meals! (hello pinterest) That way you can pre-prep a bunch of homemade yumminess so after baby comes you can focus on that instead of cooking and still eat well.

Also recommend the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare.

Either or, you'll be set! :D

  3. We're doing the same thing...date nights EVERY night, just enjoying our last few nights of just the two of us. It's crazy to think our little babes will be here soon!

  4. At this time it sounds like BlogEngine is the top blogging platform available right now.
(from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?

  5. Freezer meals is a great suggestion! I've used http://sixsistersstuff.com/ and I like their stuff pretty well. And I'd say make your toes pretty before you go into labor!!! This will mean either getting a pedicure or having Jeff do it, since you obviously can't reach your toes too well right now! And if you know what her name's gonna' be you could make some fun letters with your cricut to put on her wall or to hang from that string with ribbon you have in her room. I can hardly wait!!! Think about you all the time and can't wait to hear the news.
